Mrs Miles
Never had any smiles
And when you're 6 years old
Don't need a teacher that cold
Where were the smiles
Mrs Miles?

One day we had an exercise where
We had to draw a kind of a stair
Under the step we wrote a letter
Of the alphabet and
Drew a little picture right there

And even after this long
I still don't know what I did wrong
But she flew in a rage
And she ripped out my page
And I cried though I tried to be strong

Now the page was in the middle of my book
And Mrs Miles shouted at me "Now look
Look what you
Have made me do!"
And I just couldn't help it I just shook

She'd caught her finger on the staple and bled
On my page big drops of red
And I shook and cried
Oh it can't be denied
But I wish that I had just said

Oh Mrs Miles
Where are the smiles
I'm only 6 years old
