Misty Sparkles

walking by the shore in the wintertime
when the skies are grey and the sun doesn't shine
there's a cold harsh bite in the salty air
as she spits out her windswept hair

nothing makes her feel more alive
as when the dark wispy clouds whip across the skies
woahoh it's so bracing
she feels amazing

soft crisp misty sparkles
glitter and prickle her skin
a fresh breeze blows the cobwebs
from deep down within

you can see her when the tide is out
looking for shells, splashing about
in her rucksack egg mayonnaise
and wheat free snack for rainy days

footwear that is practical
umbrella that's just tactical
she's on a mission
she's self sufficient

she picks up her pace
wind in her face icy embrace
she'll walk forever in this place

she doesn't walk the shore alone
part of me walks with her
