I hear the psithurism in the trees
As leaves are rustling gently in the breeze
And after a most welcome fresh downpour
I'm breathing deep the earthy petrichor

The scorching heat has mellowed now to warm
And nothing clears the air like a good storm
The rain has come and gladly washed away
The sultry humid swullocking hot day

In distant clouds as they let lightning go
Crepuscular rays beaming shafts of light
Against the dark sky rainbows shining bright
